If you are like me, easy meals are a MUST! I have to make choices of how I spend my day. If I am going to get everything done that needs to be done with my family, home, and home business, then I have to utilize every short-cut and make the most of every minute. There is nothing like putting my meal into a crock-pot and working away on my home and business while the crock-pot does the work. The best perk is when you get a GREAT meal to boot! Well, this recipe is one of those. Drop this into the crock-pot in the morning and you have a yummy and very easy meal at the end of the day. Give it a try! Read more
What do you do when a meal is finished? Most of us wash the dishes and wrap up the leftovers to save away, but what happens to the leftover portions not eaten? Do they get consumed later or do they sit in the refrigerator until they start to smell, grow funny things, and you finally throw them out? If you tend to do the latter, how about saving some time, money, and energy by learning how to use those leftovers in new ways to surprise your family at dinner time.
Some people like leftovers and some do not. Still then, many will eat them the next day for lunch, but quickly get tired of eating the same thing over and over. Here’s a way to fix the problem if you or someone in your family is the same way. Read more

Cindy,
I can’t find the e-mail with the link, but somewhere I remember you bribing us with possible giveaways for asking for questions! I had been thinking about sending you this question anyway - I need some help! You might have to get Harold’s and Matthew’s view on this one!
My husband’s main love language is verbal affirmation and this is my least important one. I am having such a hard time encouraging him because I feel so fake when I do. My pastor’s wife tells Pastor “You’re all that and a bag of chips!” That is so fake to me, but is that what men want to hear?! For example, I complimented my hubby once by thanking him for being in charge of the finances and taking care of the budget. If it had been left to me, we’d be in thousands of dollars of credit card debt. A few weeks later one of my friends was having some money issues, so I thanked him again. He said “You already said that.” LOL! I wanted to be sincere; maybe he just wants blatant flattery? Read more
Let’s go back in time… Well, not that far…only to 1984! (No comments from the very young bunch here!)
1984 was a year that made history! Did you know that?
Do you know what the single greatest event of 1984 was? I met my prince charming—my Harold! I am sure that December 22, 1984 there was a huge tremble throughout the whole world…the stars shined more brightly than ever before…the flowers smelled more aromatic than ever…and I found my man! Read more

You may think that French toast is difficult to make, especially if you are a first time cook. Actually, it is a very easy and delicious breakfast fare. Here is a great recipe on how to make French toast.

Feeding a Family for $300 a Month?
By Tawra Kellam
Living-on-a-Dime.com/
I do something that most people think they can’t do today. I feed my family of 5 for $300 a month. Most people say that’s an impossible feat, but what boggles minds even more is that I do it without using coupons.
How do I do it? First, I use what I have. If I don’t have milk in the house, I don’t make a special trip to the store for it. The kids won’t die from malnutrition if they miss drinking milk for a day or two. If I’m out of bread, I’ll make some cornbread or muffins. If I’m out of fresh veggies, I will use canned or frozen instead. Stop going to the store for one or two things. I shop for food 2-3 times a month and that’s it. You’d be amazed how much this saves on the cost of gas. Read more
