If you are like me, easy meals are a MUST! I have to make choices of how I spend my day. If I am going to get everything done that needs to be done with my family, home, and home business, then I have to utilize every short-cut and make the most of every minute. There is nothing like putting my meal into a crock-pot and working away on my home and business while the crock-pot does the work. The best perk is when you get a GREAT meal to boot! Well, this recipe is one of those. Drop this into the crock-pot in the morning and you have a yummy and very easy meal at the end of the day. Give it a try!
What You Need:
4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 (5.4 oz) pkg. chicken flavored rice
1 (11 oz.) can cream of celery soup
1 (11 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 C water
1/2 tsp. salt
How to Make It:
Place the rice in the bottom of the crock pot.
Add the water.
Mix the soups together in a large mixing bowl.
Pour the soup over the top of the rice.
Cover the chicken pieces on both sides with the salt.
Layer the chicken on top.
Cover and cook 8 hours on low.
Tip: With this recipe there’s no need for that extra side dish. Add a quick salad or any vegetable or fruit and you have a full meal deal.
The Hillbilly Housewife (www.hillbillyhousewife.com) has a great recipe for chicken flavored ricearoni, you could make it without the broken spaghetti and have your own chicken flavored rice. This is quick and easy and you make up a ziploc baggie size batch at a time, hey, every penny counts these days….
Thanks so much to those of you moms who reccomended this site at the Debt Seminar, you have blessed my family so very much, in fact my 12yo son asked me the other day if I was making bread today, to which I replied I have a loaf already. His smarty pants reply was “Ya, but that is yesterday’s bread”. Not bad for a boy who had never had fresh bread before…. Thank goodness we were blessed with a bread machine that someone just wanted to get rid of. Again, thank you so much to those of you who reccomended this site, we have saved so much money. May God bless you in return….
