We are DAYS away from Christmas! Can you believe it? Are you working extra hours to get prepared? I am! In fact, I am about to get off-line again and fire up my kitchen. I got soooo much done yesterday. I look forward to getting more of our goodies on the way today. FUN! So, want to join me today making a yummy AND cute goodie? This is all of that! AND, these are soooo versatile. If you have a certain “taste” you are looking for, these are very easy to change up. In fact, this recipe can be used for many different variations. I think you will LOVE IT! Let’s get busy!
What You Need:
4 1/2 C confectioner’s sugar
2/3 C sweetened condensed milk
1 t vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
Red and green food coloring
How to Make It:
Place the sugar into a large mixing bowl.
Pour in the milk, vanilla and almond extract.
Blend the mixture together well.
Separate the mixture into 2 separate bowls.
Add the red food coloring to one bowl and the green food coloring to the other bowl.
Knead the mixtures with your hands until smooth and creamy.
Cover both bowls with a damp kitchen towel.
Refrigerate both for 24 hours.
Remove the bowls and form both mixtures into balls.
Place the balls on wax paper and keep refrigerated until ready to eat.
Serving Size: 4 dozen
These wonderful Christmas colored bonbons can be dipped in chocolate, butterscotch or caramel. They can also be rolled in colored sugars or powered sugar for a special treat. Be creative! Don’t forget to add these to your gift baskets! They will be a hit!
