1 lg package of Orange Jello
1 cup boiling water
Dissolve jello in H2O and then, in a deep bowl (otherwise, you’ll be wearing it) mix in:
1 8oz package of cream cheese (softened and torn into chunks)
Blend with mixer until it is well incorporated
Pour into a pretty bowl and add:
1 drained can of mandarin oranges (sm if you like a wee bit of oranges, larger if you love oranges-recipe calls for sm, but my kids complain there is never enough oranges)
2 1/2 cups of orange pop (use the smaller bottled ones or cans because you need that fizz) Stir gently with a spoon. Place in the fridge. After some time, as it just setting, stir down the cheese/orange mix to get it thru-out the jello. Make this a day ahead of when you need it-must sit in the icebox all night.
