Know YOU are Called to be a Good Soldier
The big question that pretty much 100% of us will ask (or have asked) at one time of our lives is the biggie, ” Why do bad things happen to those who are good?” Ever asked that one? This is a valid question. So, why does a good God allow bad things to happen?
The answer to this goes back to the very beginning of time. It is actually documented over and over and over throughout the Word of God. God has created man to be LIKE HIM, the Bible calls it, “In His image.” This means soooo much. First, it means that man is different from all of the rest of creation. God created us with spirit, soul, and body–like Him. God created us with a free will to choose–like Him. God created us for relationship–like Him.
So, what does this mean? This means that LIKE HIM, we have choices that bring about the life we live. Those choices enable many ramifications–either blessings or curses for us and all of the lives our lives touch. Another thing that those choices bring about is targeting from the enemy.
Yes, God has an enemy. You and I have an enemy. More on that in a moment. However, we must KNOW this if we are to truly understand that we have NO OPTIONS except to be a soldier. The enemy gives NO other option.
My son is in the US Military. He signed up. He was not drafted. He gave up all to join and serve.
Many Christians have the misguided perception that we can choose to become a soldier or not. Many believe that this “job” is left for those who “sign up” like pastors, ministers, teachers, evangelists. Sweet friends, this is JUST what the enemy wants. He wants for you to think that there is an option. He wants for you to think that you don’t have to fight. He wants for you to think that if you are a good girl or a good boy that you are “safe” and “on base” or in the “safe, no-fire zone” so nothing can/will happen to you.
If you are wondering why you have ever been hit hard with personal blows or why every time you get up to walk on the “good path” you are hit hard and just cannot do it, this is the first thing you need to know. Soak this in deep. Ready?
YOU ARE CALLED TO BE A SOLDIER.
You are called whether you are a Christian OR NOT.
You are called whether you are signed up for “service” OR NOT.
You are called whether you are doing anything for God OR NOT.
You are called whether you are far away from God or very, very close.
Today is the day to step up to the call. Today is the day to soak in the truth that the enemy hates you just because you are human. He hates you because God loves you soooo much. He will do ANYTHING to steal from you, kill you and the things that mean anything to you, and destroy you and your life. He is not going to go easy on you because you are quitting or laying low. Try it. He will still hit you and hit you where it hurts.
The only difference between you and the GOOD soldier is that the good soldier is armed and ready for battle. The good soldier knows how to fight the good fight. The good soldier knows his/her enemy, the enemy’s tactics, and how to defeat the enemy with whatever weapon the enemy uses. The good soldier is enlisted with a team. The good soldier is assured complete victory and is MORE than a conqueror EVERY TIME.
We live in a culture that seems to have lost its way. We think we have options. We think if we mind our own business that we won’t be in the cross-hairs of the enemy. We believe that the enemy follows the “Geneva Convention” and won’t touch civilians. This is EXACTLY why we are hit so hard, taken captive, and unarmed for the Kingdom of God.
Reality is that we can’t lay low. Do that and the enemy will take us captive. In fact, many of you may be captive today. You are hindered. You are shackled. You have no idea how you got where you are. Your life is far from what you thought it would be. You did not even ask for this. You were minding your own business and bad things happened. You just don’t get it.
Sweet friend, you are in the middle of the enemy camp. You can get up today and walk out! In fact, I am here as “Special Forces” to unshackle you and bring you out. I am here to set the captive free. Now, will you come with me? I know the way out. Will you follow me to freedom? We have to get moving. The enemy does not want you free. He will require that we fight for your freedom. You MUST know that you have to fight the good fight. You are called to be a good soldier. You are not exempt. That is why the enemy has had you where you are. If you want freedom, you must get up and get going yourself. I can help you, but I can’t make you go.
Others of you… You are not exempt. You are frolicking on top of your mountain, maybe wondering what all of the fuss is about. Do not think for one moment that the enemy isn’t waiting and watching after you too. He is on the prowl seeking for someone to devour. Enjoy today, but be on guard. You are not exempt either. You need to use these days for training. You need to prepare. You need to be filled with everything you will need when the enemy hits you. Don’t be distracted from preparing. The good soldier prepares. Preparation is the only thing that intimidates the enemy and defends against his onslaught quickly, decisively, and easily.
We are all called to be a good soldier. Don’t fall for the lies. Today is the day to rise up and be who you are–you are a mighty warrior! Know who you are. Know what you can do as you join the “army” of God. Know what is yours.
Your enemy is defeated. That is past tense, present tense, and future tense.
The question today is what are you? Are you defeated? Have you let the enemy deceive you into being “like him?” Are you believing him more than God? Are you ready to rise up to what you really are? In Christ, we are more than conquerors. In Christ, we are victorious. In Christ, no weapon formed against us can prosper. This is all ours if we step up to the call to be a good soldier.
So, today, what will you do? Will you step up to the call to be a good soldier? Will you get up and get moving? Will you get into training? Will you set aside time for Bootcamp? What is your choice? Your choice determines everything.

For those of you who are where you don’t know where to turn to, God is still hearing you. He has not forsaken you. Cindy is walking ahead, making a path. Don’t let the enemy lie to you any more. You are not too weak. You are not too overtaken. You DO have people who care. And if no one cared, God is your greatest ally. He will stand for you. He will send in a soldier to carry out the weak. He will send in the troops. You have to decide to go though. He will not drag you kicking and screaming. Answer the call. Call out if you aren’t heard. Let Him know you are serious….
If God be for us, WHO then can stand against us?

I am praying for you. I am in agreement with you in encouraging these dear sisters to rise up against the enemy of our souls and “move it, move it, move it”.

Thank you for stepping out and doing this series.
God is transforming our family mightily.
The enemy had held me captive for many years.
Once I began to expose him for who he is and bring to light what he has done to me & my family he lost hold of so many areas.
As long as I kept silent he had all the assumed glory.
Yes, he is coming at our family with new tactics, but God is a Big God- He doesn’t fit in a box.
I am praising God on my blog, at our church, and to people in general.
The enemy is retaliating by:
(1) Perhaps bringing `D` seizures back. He will be having a sleep deprived EEG and MRI, soon.
(2) My Dearest Hubby received a threatening phone call
(3) My blog is continually being hacked. In fact, I just noticed something askew again.
(4) `R` is getting sick.
(5) `W` had some ulcers in his mouth that were hurting so bad we had to take him to the Dentist.
(6) I am getting blisters all over my feet.
Cindy, I shall not be moved.

While the enemy is trying to come on strong God is there to confirm & encourage me.
Like Dr. Kent Hovind said. He can imagine the devil as the wizard from `The wizard of oz`. We think he is this all powerful being and yet when he is finally exposed for who he is.. We will see he looks just like that wizard (some short stumpy man) and we were actually giving him more power than he really has.

`But we (ourselves) cannot help telling what we have seen and heard.` (Acts 4:20)
`Arriving there they gathered the church together and declared all that God had accomplished with them and how He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith (in Jesus as the Messiah, through Whom we obtain salvation in the kingdom of God). (Acts 14:27)
